WHO ARE WE?

EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY,
NOW ATTAINABLE

Each level of production has been highly automated in Arbor. All processes, from profiling to joining, painting and assembly of glass and accessories, are made by standardized and mechanized means. These processes, performed by German and Italian machinery, are controlled and supervised by an online computerized management system. The temperature and humidity in factory area are kept under strict automatic control. In this way, all of the processes are performed in standard ways until the finished product is reached which means minimization of human error.

ARBOR windows have been certified Passivhaus by the Passive House Institute at PhB level. The main issue is the environment in order to achieve energy efficiency at the highest level. The concept of the passive building is that the heat released inside the construction (living beings, electrical appliances) and that provided from the outside (sunshine) is sufficient to meet heating needs. Thanks to the high performance of our wood windows, the thermal insulation requirements are met for our wood and wood/aluminum windows.

We have developed a bullet-proof timber windows. The ballistic tests according to BS EN 1522-1523 and BS EN 1063 has been a real success. The target resistance levels of BR6 for glazing and FB6 for window has been easily reached.

Arbor produces 30 and 60 minutes fire-rated windows tested and certified to EN 1634-1. Our fire proof window has been proven to be resistant to fire at the tests carried out according to BS EN 1634-1. The test sample has maintained its completeness for 60 minutes and has provided sufficiently low values of heat transfer. All tests, calculations and evaluations are carried out by internationally renown and accredited doors and windows testing laboratories.

WHY WOOD?

Wood is economical. The life span of wood, as a construction material, is commonly projected as 80 years, with a lot of wooden buildings dating from middle ages showing that this duration may well be past. The prejudice that wood needs frequent care is a reminiscent of those times that people thought it necessary to cover wood surfaces wi th impermeable films of paint.
